What we hold, and for how long
This page describes what the application actually does today, in plain language.
What this site collects
When you send a message through the contact page, we store the name, email address and message you choose to give us, whether you asked for a reply, and the fact that you gave consent.
Nothing else is collected. You do not need an account to read anything here, there is no profile, there are no analytics or advertising scripts, and we do not track what you read.
Two things are saved in your own browser rather than on our servers: which study pages you have opened, and any notes you write on the reflection pages. Both stay on your device.
Why we keep it
Your message is kept so that a person, not an automated system, can read it, pray over it, and reply if you asked for a reply.
Who can read it
Only authorized administrators of this ministry. Messages are not visible to other visitors, are never published, and are not shared with third parties.
No automatic notification is sent
Sending the form does not send an email to us and does not trigger an alert of any kind. Your message is saved privately and an administrator reads it by hand when they next open the inbox. This is why a reply can take a little time.
How long we keep it, and when it is deleted
Every message is stamped with a retention date 180 days after it arrives. Once that date has passed the message is deleted automatically: a scheduled cleanup runs once a day and removes only messages whose retention date is already behind us. It cannot remove a message that is still inside its 180 days.
An administrator can also delete a message sooner, including at your request.
Notes and reading progress stay on your device
Anything you write in a reflection field, and the record of which study pages you have opened, is saved in your own browser. It is not transmitted to a server, not attached to an account, and cannot be read by us. No one here can retrieve it.
You can erase it at any time with the “Clear saved notes” action on any reflection page, or by clearing your browser data.
The music video
The video does not load until you ask for it. The page first shows a still image served from our own image host, and nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play.
When you press play, the player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com in privacy-enhanced mode, and when you follow the direct link it opens on youtube.com. From that point YouTube and Google may set cookies and receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policy, which we do not control and cannot change. If you would rather avoid that, you can read the story, the study and the Gospel pages without ever playing the video.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete a message you sent, ask what we hold about you, or withdraw consent for us to keep it. Write to us through the contact page and say what you would like. A message you sent can also be deleted immediately on request.
